Social service refers to activities to improve the quality of life of the disadvantaged sections of the society. It aims at elevation of the living conditions of the poor and disabled people, and the depressed sections of society.

Though the first and foremost duty of a student is learning he should not neglect the society. He should try to make it healthy, happy and progressive. Students may easily form social service organizations in their areas to protect people.
