\huge{\underline{\bold{ Solution:- }}}

=> 2x + y = 2--------(1)

=> y = 2 - 2x

(and)

=>2x - y = 2---------(2)

Substituting value to eq.(1) in eq.(2), we get,

=> 2x - (2 - 2x) = 2

=> 2x - 2 + 2x = 2

=> 4x = 2 + 2

=> 4x = 4

=> x = (4/4)

\boxed{ => x = 1}

Thankyou~

Answer:

2x + y = 2 \\ 2x - y = 2  \\    + \:  \:  -  \\ 4 x = 2 \\ x = 4 \div 2 \\ x = 2 \\ \\  substituting \: x \: =  2 \\  \\  2x + y = 2 \\ 2(2) + y = 2 \\ 4 + y = 2 \\ y = 2 - 4 \\ y =  - 2

Therefore, value of x and y are 2 and -2 respectively.
