7. Suppose 2 kg of sugar contains 9 x 10 crystals.
How many sugar crystals are there in (i) 5 kg of sugar? (ii) 1.2 kg of sugar?

  • no. of crystal in 2 kg of sugar =90
  • no. of crystal in 1 kg of sugar=90/2
  • no of crystals in 5 kg of sugar=90/2*5=225
  • answer 2       no. of crystals in 1 kg of sugar=45
  • no. of crystals in 1.2 kg of sugar = 45*1.2=54
