हमारे लिए तिरंगा बेहद महत्वपूर्ण और गौरव का विषय है. इस नाम के पीछे की वजह इसमें इस्तेमाल होने वाले तीन रंग हैं, केसरिया, सफेद और हरा. इसके मौजूदा स्वरूप का विकास भी कई पड़ावों में हुआ है. अभी जो तिरंगा फहराया जाता है उसे 22 जुलाई 1947 को अपनाया गया था.

It was adopted in its present form during a meeting of the Constituent Assembly held on 22 July 1947, and it became the official flag of the Dominion of India on 15 August 1947. The flag is based on the Swaraj flag, a flag of the Indian National Congress designed by Pingali Venkayya
