Step-by-step explanation:

Let the table cost X and chair coast is Y .

Then,

(I) 7X + 3y → 1110

(II) 5X + 4y → 1350

multipyling equations (I) by 3 and (II) by 4 we get

28X + 12y = 4440 ... (iii )

15X + 12y = 4050. .... (Iv)

subtracting equations (IV) from equation (iii) , we get

28X -15X + 12 y - 12 y = 4440 - 4050

—» 13X = 390

X = 390 ÷ 13

X = 30

subtracting equation X = 30 in equation (i)

we get ,

7 × 30 + 3y = 1110

—» 210 + 3y = 1110

». 3y - 1110 - 210

=. 3y = 900

y = 900 ÷ 3

y = 300

Hence , the cost of the 1 table = 30

&

cost of 1 chair = 300
