Given: Radius (OT)= 12cm

OP = 20cm

To find: length of PT

Solution:

BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM

H²= P² + B²

i.e. OP²= OT²+PT²

PT² = OP² - OT²

PT² = (20)² - (12)²

PT² = 400 - 144

PT² = 256

PT =

 \sqrt{256}

PT = 16
