7. The adjoining figure shows a racing track consisting of two parallel stretches 119 m long and 10 m wide. Its other two ends are semicircular. The inner distance between the two parallel stretches is 70 m. Evaluate: (a) the distance around the track along its outer edge (b) the area of the track 119 m​

Radius of exterior =(70+10)m=80m

Circumference =2πr=2*22/7*80=3520/7 m

Distance around track - 3520/7+(119+2)

= 5186/7

= 740.86

Hence distance around the track along its outer edge is 740.86
