One of the parallel sides = 20cm

Let the length of the other parallel sides be′x' cm

Also, area of the trapezium =400 cm²

Distance between the parallel sides = 16cm

∴ Area of a trapezium = 1/2×(a+b)×h

∴400= 1/2×(20+x)×16

=> 400=96+8x

=> 400−96=4x

=> 4x=384

=> x= 384/4

=> x = 96cm

Thus,

the length of the other parallel side is 96cm
