Answer:

The area of the hall is 22m x 15.5m = 341 m^2

The carpet is (22 - 2 * 0.75) * (15.5 - 2 * 0.75)

= (22 - 1.5) * (15.5 - 1.5)

= 20.5 * 14 = 287 m^2

The portion uncovered is 341 m^2 - 287 m^2 = 54 m^2

A meter length of carpet is 1 m * 0.82 m = 0.82 m^2

287 m^2 / 0.82 m^2 = 350 m of carpet

350 m * 60Rs / m = 21,000 Rs
