Answer:

Let the numerator be x.

then the denominator will be x+8 .

According to the question .

x+17/(x+8)-1 = 3/2

2(x+17) = 3(x+8)-1

2x+34 = 3x+24-1

2x-3x = 24-1-34

-1x = 24-35

-1x = -11

x = -11/-1

x = 11

so the rational no. is

x/x+8

11/11+8

11/19

Answer . the rational number is 11/19
