$Let \: two \: numbers \: be x \: and \: y$

According to question

$x \: −y= \: 26 . (1)$

$x= \: 3y .(2)$

now,

substituting eq (2) in eq(1) we get

3y−y−26

2y=26

y=13

x=3y from (2)

x=3×13

x=39

sum of two numbers

x+y=39+13

=52

Hence the sum of two numbers is 52
