Given : dimensions of a rectangular field are (4.1X +5.6Y) , (X+1.5Z) units .

To Find :  the area of the field.

Solution:

dimensions of a rectangular field are (4.1X +5.6Y) , (X+1.5Z) units .

Length =  (4.1X +5.6Y)

Breadth = (X+1.5Z)

area of rectangle = length * breadth

area of the field = (4.1X +5.6Y)(X+1.5Z)

Using distributive property

4.1X (X+1.5Z)   + 5.6Y (X+1.5Z)

= 4.1X²+6.15XZ    + 5.6XY +8.4YZ

= 4.1X² +  5.6XY +8.4YZ  +6.15XZ

area of the field = 4.1X² +  5.6XY +8.4YZ  +6.15XZ    sq units
