7. The length of a rectangle is one and half
times its breadth. If the perimeter of the
rectangle is 100 cm, find the length and the
breadth of the rectangle.​

let the breadth be x and length be 3/2 x

perimeter = 100 CM

perimeter = 2(l+b)

100=2(3/2x+x)

100=6/2x+2x

100=6/2x+4/2x

100=10/2x

100×2=10x

200=10x

200/10=x

20=x

breadth = 20 CM

length = 3/2×20

=30 CM

verification :-

perimeter = 2(l+b)

=2(30+20)

=2×50

=100 CM
