Hi,

here's ur answer..

a) magnesium

b)it has to loose 2 electrons to achieve noble gas configuration.

c) its basic because all metal oxides r basic. and magnesium is a metal..

A basic oxide reacts with an acid to produce salt and water.. for eg- Mg(OH)2+ 2HCI gives MgCI2+2H2O which means magnesium oxide is basic in nature..

Hope it helps!!
