Answer:

Let the length of one side be x.

Then other side is 10 more=x+10

ATF,

perimeter of a parralelogram=2(l+b)

.: 2 (x+(x+10))=140

2 (x+x+10)=140

2 (2x+10)=140

(2x+10)=140/2

(2x+10)=70

(2x)=70-10

2x=60

x=30.....

.: one of the side of parralelogram=x=30cm. another side of the parralelogram=(x+10)=40cm.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU:)

\sf{\bold{\green{\underline{\underline{Given}}}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • perimeter of a parallelogram is 140cm.
  • One side is longer then the other by 10cm

\sf{\bold{\green{\underline{\underline{To\: Find }}}}}

  • Length and Breadth = ??

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf{\bold{\green{\underline{\underline{Solution}}}}}

Let the length of parallelogram be = x cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let the Breadth of parallelogram be = x + 10 cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf{\red{\boxed{\bold{Perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth ) }}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to the question :-

⠀⠀⠀⠀

140 = 2(x + x + 10)

⠀⠀⠀⠀

140 = 2x + 2x + 20

⠀⠀⠀⠀

140 = 4x + 20

⠀⠀⠀⠀

4x = 140 - 20

⠀⠀⠀⠀

4x = 120

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x = 120/4

⠀⠀⠀⠀

x = 30

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Length = x

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⟹ 30cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Breadth = x + 10

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⟹ 30 + 10

⠀⠀⠀⠀

⟹ 40 cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf{\bold{\green{\underline{\underline{Answer}}}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Length = 30cm
  • Breadth = 40cm

\sf{\red{\boxed{\bold{Extra\: info :- }}}}

  • Area of parallelogram = base × height
  • perimeter = 2 (l + b)
