The side of a square flower bed is 1 m 80 cm long. It is enlarged by digging a boundary
90 cm wide all around it. Find the area of the enlarged flower bed and also find the
increase in area of the flower bed.​

ii) 360 cm^2

area of flower bed = 4* 180 = 720 cm^2

side of enlarged flower bed = 270 cm

area of square = 4*side

area of enlarged flower bed= 4*270 = 1080 cm^2
