Given :  the SI on a sum of money for 3 years at 12 1 by 2% per annum is 1500

To find : what will be the CI on the sum at the same rate and for the same period

Solution:

Let  \:  \:  \: say  \:  \:  \: Sum  \:  \: of \:  \:  Money  =  P

Rate  \:  \: of  \:  \: interest  = 12  1/2  = 12.5  percent \:

Time = 3  Years

Simple  \:  \:  \: interest =  P * 12.5 * 3 /100  = 1500

=> P = 4000

CI  = 4000 ( 1  +  12.5/100)³ - 4000

=> CI = 1695.31

CI on the sum at the same rate and for the same period = Rs 1695.31
