                       =x   *  (1+d)  = -35

                       = d= -35/x   -  1

put it in the first equation

x+d= 1

x + -35/x   - 1  = 1

x  + -35/x = 2

x^2-35= 2x

x^2-2x-35 =0

x= 7 , -5

first substiutute the value in first equation

x+d = 1

7 + d = 1

d= -6
