Answer:

7:9

Step-by-step explanation:

Amount of Mixture = 120 l.

Ratio of Alcohol to water = 5:3

Amount of alcohol = 5/8*120 = 75 l.

Amount of water = 3/8 * 120 = 45 l.

Amount of alcohol taken out = 120*30/100*5/8 = 22.5 l.

Amount of water taken out = 120*30/100*3/8 = 13.5 l

Total amount of mixture taken out = 22.5 + 13.5 = 36 l.

The amount of alcohol in the new mixture = 75 - 22.5 = 52.5 l.

Amount of water = 45 - 13.5 + 36 = 67.5 l

New ratio of Alcohol to water in the mixture = 52.5/67.5 = 7:9
