7.To stitch a shirt ,2m 15 cm cloth is needed. Out of 40 m cloth, how many shirts can be

stitched and how much cloth will remain?

no. of shirts=18

finding remaining cloth,

2.15 × 18    =38.7m                                              

again,

40-38.7     =1.3m

remaining cloth=1.3m     =1+0.3m      =1m+0.3 ×100cm =1m 30cm

hence,

the no. of shirt that can be stitched is 18 and the remainig cloth is 1m 30cm.
