ie, immediately after reading a book we are able to see distant objects. Compare

Explanation:

When we see a far object, our eyes' ciliary muscles relax which makes our eye lens thinner. thus, the focal lenght of the eye increases, as the curvature of the lens decreases. This enables our eyes to see far away objects clearly.

When we see a near object, our eyes' ciliary muscles contract, which increases the curvature of the eye lens. This reduces the focal lenght of the lens and thus, we are able to see near objects clearly
