Once upon a time, I decided to visit my friend’s house in the vicinity. While crossing a dense jungle I encountered a ghost.
I told her that I am lost and looking for the right direction. She told me about how she died in an accident. I got scared and ran like anything!
My palms were sweating and it was an unforgettable experience for me. Though I reached my friend’s house later on but was having high fever for the next three days.
The Path :
One day, I was going to my friend’s house. I decided to take a shortcut to home, as I wanted to reach home soon. It was a route that weaved through the jungle. I was in an adventurous mood as well and was all set to explore the new route. The jungle smelled so fresh after the short spell of rain. The sounds were inviting too. The birds chirping, insects screeching, the leaves rustling. Oh! This was bliss. I decided to sit on a log for a few minutes and soak in the serene beauty of the place.
I had hardly enjoyed this bliss for five minutes when I was rudely awakened by a young girl who looked disheveled. She begged me to help her. I asked her what it was she wanted. She said she and her family members met with an accident and they were on the road bleeding. She begged me to come along to help her. Unaware, I went with her. She showed me the road and a particular spot. She beseeched me to see how her parents were bleeding and urged me to help her.
Just as I turned to her, I could hear a strange sound. And at that moment I realized this girl was a ghost. Oh! I screamed my heart out and ran and ran, without looking back. I stopped only after I reached my friend’s house. I was panting for breath and broke out into sweats. I couldn’t speak, even though my friend and her family repeatedly asked me. I kept screaming in my sleep and was rudely awakened every night. This went on for three days despite the doctor’s medicines.
After three days I felt better and was able to convey what went on at the jungle. I shudder to think of the time I spent with the ghost.
