BLOOD :-

Blood is a type of connective tissue and is fluid in state.

Its components are WBC, RBC, Plasma & Platelets.

Function:-

1. Blood transports substances like some gases between the lungs and the rest of the body according to the requirement basis.e.g. Oxygen(O2) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
2. Blood also transports substances like nutrients from the digestive tracts and storage sites to the rest of the body.
3. Blood also kills the germs present in the body with the help of WBC(White Blood Cells) present in it.
4. Blood contains platelets by which it helps in clotting and healing of wounds.
