Q. Write scientific reason of :-

1. Atomic radius goes on increasing down a group.

Ans. As we go down a group, the atomic radius increases because a new electron shell is added at every point.

This increases the distance between nucleus and electrons which results in bigger atoms . Hence, the atomic radius also increases.
