$9x - 7y = 14 ---- (1)$

Now,

Chandhu is 12 years older than 'x' and 12 years younger than 'y'

$C = x + 12 ---- (2)$

$y = C + 12$

$y = x + 12 + 12 ---- [From (2)]$

$y = x + 24 ---- (3)$

$Put (3) in (1)$

$9x - 7(x+24) = 14$

$9x - 7x - 168 = 14$

$2x = 182$

$x = 91 years$

Now,

Substitute 'x' in equation (2)

$C = x + 12$

$C = 91 +12$

$C = 103 years$

Therefore,
