Given ;

let x= coin of 10 paise

and y= coin of 50 paise

total coin=70

According to the question we get ;

 x+y = 70 -------- equation ( 1 )

total money inside the purse = 90rs or 900 paise

We get ;

10x+50y=900

1x + 5y= 90---------- equation ( 2 )

 From equation 1 and 2; we get.....
 x +  y = 70
 
1x + 5y = 90
( -  )  ( - )  ( - )

 -4y = -20
         
We get ;

i.e y=5

 x=70-5=65

We get ;

5 coins of 50 paise and 65 coins of 10 paise

5*50+65*10 = 250+650 =900 paisa or we get

I rupee = 10 paisa

We get ;

900/10

90 rupees......


Therefore the purse contain 900 paise or. 90 rupees.....
