1) CH_4>NH_3>H_2O>HF

  • The order is incorrect because among CH_4,NH_3,H_2O,HF, hydrides are the most electronegative. The pka value of CH_4 is more, therefore, it is the weakest acid and the pka value of HF is least, therefore, the Ka value will be more hence it is the strongest acid.
  • When it comes to electronegativity then Fluorine is the most electronegative hence the power of donation of electrons will be least and hence it is the strongest acid and the Ka value is much higher.
