Answer:

Test of divisibility for 3 = the sum of all the digits in the number should be divisible by 3

Therefore,

7 + 3 + y = x which should be divisible by 3

7 + 3 = 10

3*4 = 12

3*5 = 15

3*6 = 18

Therefore,

7 + 3 + y = 12 or 15 or 18

7 + 3 + 2 = 12  

7 + 3 + 5 = 15

7 + 3 + 8 = 18

12, 15 and 18 are divisible by 3, and hence the numbers so formed are -

732, 735 and 738 are divisible by .3

Therefore, the value of y can be 2, 5 or 8.
