We have to complete the series ; 15, 13, 11 , 14, 17 , ?

options are ;

(A) 13. (B) 14 (C) 19 and (D) none of these.

solution : here series ; 15 , 13 , 11, 14, 17 , ?

you see,

15 - 2 = 13

13 - 2 = 11

11 + 3 = 14

14 + 3 = 17

in the given series, first two terms are found by subtracting 2 from each term and next two terms are found by adding 3 with each term.

so the next two terms will be found by subtracting 4 from each term.

therefore next term = 17 - 4 = 13

So the correct answer would be option (A) 13

AnswEr :-

Series:  15,13,11,14 ,17

The pattern is,

15 - 2 = 13

13 - 2 = 11

11 + 3 = 14

14 + 3 = 17

LOGIC :

  • First 2 terms are subtracted by 2

  • Next two terms are added by 3 .

Therefore, next two terms will be substracted by 4.

So, next two terms will be ,

17 - 4 = 13

13 - 4 = 9

Hence, required term is 13. (option A)
