Let the number of students be x. if 75% of students passed in the exam , no. of students =75/100(x)=0.75x. If it would have been 80%, then no.of students who passed the exam =0.8x. it is given that 0.8x-0.75x=2 =>0.05x=2=> x=2/(5/100)=200/5 =40.Total no. of students are 40.
