Now, we are given that if the two more students have passed the exam 80% would have been successful.

$= > \frac{75}{100} x + 2 = \frac{80}{100} x \\ = > 2 = \frac{80}{100} x - \frac{75}{100} x \\ = > 2 = \frac{5}{100} x \\ \\ = > 2 \times \frac{100}{5} = x \\ = > x = 40$

Hence , there are 40 students in the class.
