the total hardness of the given sample of water is 136 ppm

- The formula used to calculate the total hardness of a water sample by titrating it with EDTA solution in the presence of eriochrome black T indicator is :

Total hardness = (Volume of EDTA consumed × Molarity of EDTA × Molar mass of CaCO3 × 1000)/Volume of water sample

- putting the given values in the formula, we get

 Total hardness = ( 10.2 × 0.01 × 100 × 1000)/75

                           = 10200/75

                           = 136 ppm
