if you assume the answer is an integer and are aware that only the digits 2 and 8 when squared produce a final digit of 4, and know that 80^2 = 6400 and 90^2 = 8100, you can immediately “guess” 88 since 7744 is much closer to 8100 than 6400. I assume you’re looking for a way to get it without a calculator since if you had a calculator you wouldn’t post the question. then again, you have a computer, which would have a calculator.
