hi friend!
here is your Answer
______________________

=>
778×994 =(778×1000)-(778×x)-778
=>
now take common 778 in Rhs
=>
778(1000-x-1) = 778×994
999-x = (778×994/)778
=>
1000-x = 994
-X = 994-999
X = 5 Ans

Hope it's helpful ✌✌

Let 'a' will be filled in the blank place.

⇒ 778 × 994 = ( 778 × 1000 ) - ( 778 × a  ) - 778

By taking 778 as common in R.H.S,

⇒ 778 × 994 = 778 ( 1000 - a - 1 )

⇒ 994 = 778 ( 999 - a ) ÷ 778

⇒ 994 = 999 - a

⇒ 994 - 999 = -a

⇒ -5 = -a

∴ a = 5.

Verification :

⇒ 778 × 994 = ( 778 × 1000 ) -  ( 778 × 5 ) - 778

⇒ 778 × 994 = 778 ( 1000 - 5 - 1 )

⇒ 778 × 994 = 778 ( 1000 - 6 )

⇒ 778 × 994 = 778 × 994.

Verified.

So, 5 will be filled in the blank space.
