A's one day work = 1/6
B's one day work = 1/8
C's one day work = 1/4
Now, if A,B and C work together, then
one day work = (1/6)+(1/8)+(1/4)
= 13/24
Therefore, no. of days needed to complete the work = 24/13 days
=1.8 days ( approximately )
Now,
money paid for doing task in 6,8 or 4 (i.e. 24 ) days = 780/-
Now it is obvious that if the work is done in less time than more money would be paid, i.e. lesser the time is taken to complete the task, more the money given.
Therefore,
Money paid to do work in 1.8 days = 780 + 24/1.8
= 780+ 13.3
=793.33/-
B's one day work = 1/8
C's one day work = 1/4
