To solve : (7a + 5b ) ^{2}  using identity .

Solution :

  • As we can see the given expression is of the form (a +b )^{2} .
  • We know that , ( a + b )^{2} = a^{2} + 2ab  +b^{2}
  • Therefore , we apply above identity to (7a + 5b ) ^{2} .
  • Here , a = 7a and b = 5b .
  • (7a + 5b ) ^{2} = (7a )^{2}+ 2 ( 7a ) ( 5b ) + (5b ) ^{2}    \\

                       = 49a^{2}  + 70ab  + 25b^{2}

Hence , on solving (7a + 5b ) ^{2} using identity we get answer 49a^{2}  + 70ab  + 25b^{2} .
