7 cartons for larges boxes per carton, where 7 x 8 = 56 boxes. 4 for small boxes, where 4 x 10 = 40 boxes. 96 total boxes and 11 cartons

let no of large box=l

no of small box=s

one carton=y=8 large =10 small

l>s

96=l+s

let s=40 and l=56

therefore

no of cartons =40/10+56/8

=11
