Hi There ,

Answer - Oxygen [O8]

Electronegativity is basically a chemical property which describes how easily an atom can attract electrons.

Electronegativity depneds on 2 things.

1st one is atomic number and 2nd is the distance at which its valence electrons reside from the charged nucleus.

Electronegativity increases across the periods and decreases down the group.

So order of electronegativity will be :

O > N > C > N > B > Al

Electronegativity of the above atoms are given below :

B Boron - 2.046

C Carbon - 2.557

N Nitrogen - 3.048

O Oxygen - 3.44

Al Aluminium - 1.61

From table its obvious that oxygen is the most electronegative atom in these atoms.

Hope it helps

vrujahisonu2003: 11Na,15P,17Cl,14Si,12Mg.Which of these has largest atoms
adityakjha24: 11 Na has largest atom
adityakjha24: across the period , size of atom decreases
adityakjha24: the outermost shell had only one election due to which the effective nuclear charge of the atom is less. so, the electron is far from the nucleus due to which it is the largest atom.
vrujahisonu2003: 19K,3Li,11Na,4Bc. Which of these atoms has smallest atomic radius?

Electronic configuration of the following elements is:

4Be= 2,2

6C= 2,4

8O= 2,6

5B= 2,3

13Al= 2,8,3

13Al is the most electropositive element among these because 4Be ,6C ,8O ,5B belong to the same period, but 13Al belongs to next period. According to the trend,the electropositive character of an element increase as we move from top to bottom in a group of the periodic table. This happens as the tendency of an atom to lose electrons increases due to a decrease in nuclear charge and increase in the number of shells.
