ANSWER:

  • Value of x = 5

GIVEN:

  • 7x-(2+3x) = 18

TO FIND:

  • Value of x.

SOLUTION:

=> 7x-(2+3x) = 18

=> 7x -2-3x = 18

=> 4x -2 = 18

Adding 2 both sides we get;

=> 4x-2+2 = 18+2

=> 4x = 20

Dividing both sides by 4 we get;

=> 4x/4 = 20/4

=> x = 5.

VERIFICATION:

L.H.S :

= 7x-(2+3x)

= 7x-2-3x

= 4x-2

Putting x = 5 we get;

= 4(5)-2

= 20-2

= 18

LHS = RHS

VERIFIED:

NOTE:

  • The method by which we have find the value of x is by linear equation in one variable.
  • In this way we can find the value of x.
