7x-2y=9

7x=9+2y

x=(9+2y)/7

6y+4x=15

put the value of x

6y+4×(9+2y)/7=15

6y+(36+8y)/7=15

 \frac{7 \times 6y + 36 + 8y}{7}  = 15 \\  \frac{42y + 36 + 8y}{7}  = 15

50y+36=15×7

50y=105-36

50y=69

y=69/50
