15(7 x+3)=11(8x+5)

105x+45=88x+55

105x+45-88x-55=0

17x-10=0

X=10/17Ans

Hey there!

To calculate and find the value of x in this equation (7x + 3) : (8x + 5) = 11 : 15

Take this into fractional form : \bf{\frac{(7x + 3)}{(8x + 5)} = \frac{11}{15}} \\

Apply fractional cross multiplication if a/b = c/d then, a * d = b * c

(7x + 3) * 15 = (8x + 5) * 11

Apply the distributive law that is, a(b + c) = ab + ac. Here, a = 15, b = 7x and c = 3.

15 * 7x + 15 * 3 = (8x + 5) * 11

105x + 45 = (8x + 5) * 11

Again, Apply the distributive law that is, a(b + c) = ab + ac. Here, a = 11, b = 8x and c = 5.

105x + 45 = 11 * 8x + 11 * 5

105x + 45 = 88x + 55

Subtract the value of "45" from left and right hand sides:

105x + 45 - 45 = 88x + 55 - 45

105x = 88x + 10

Subtract the variable value of "88x" from both the sides:

105x - 88x = 88x + 10 - 8x

17x = 10

Divide both the given sides by the value of "17" to obtain the final value.

\bf{\dfrac{17x}{17} = \dfrac{10}{17}} \\

\boxed{\bf{\therefore \quad x = \dfrac{10}{17}}} \\

Which is the required value for this type of query.

Hope this helps you and solves the doubts for finding variables!
