Question :

7x- 5y =1 and 6x + 4y=4 then find x - y = ?

Solution :

Here We have two equations :

7x- 5y =1 _____equation 1

6x + 4y=4 ______equation 2

Multiply Equation 1 By 4 and Equation 2 by 5

=》( 7x - 5y = 1 ) 4

28x - 20y = 4 _____ equation 3

=》( 6x + 4y = 4 ) 5

30 x + 20y = 20 ______ equation 4

Add Equation 3 and Equation 4 :

=》28x + 30x + 20y - 20y = 20 + 4

=》58 x = 24

=》x = 24/58

=》x = 3 / 7

Put the Value of x in equation 1 .

=》7 ( 3/7 ) - 5y = 1

=》3 - 5y = 1

=》3 - 1 = 5y

=》2 = 5y

=》y = 2 / 5
