Hi there!

1. 7 x + 8 y = 22

》 7x = 22 - 8 y

》x = 22 - 8 / 7 ... ( I )

2. 6x + 5y = 17

》5y = 17 - 6x

》5y = 17 - 6 x

》5y = 17 - 6 × 22 - 8/7 ~~ from i)

》y = 17 - 6 x 146/7

》y = 17 - 125 . (appx)

now,

Ans. x = 146 / 7 and y = -108
