 \frac{7y+4}{y+2}= \frac{-4}{3}
On cross-multiplying:-
7y+4= \frac{-4(y+2)}{3}
7y+4= \frac{-4y-8}{3}
7y= \frac{-4y-8}{3} -4
Multiplying both sides by 3. (because LCM=3)
21y=-4y-8-12
21y+4y=-8-12=-20
25y=-20
y= \frac{-20}{25} =  \frac{-4}{5}

cross multiply:
3(7y+4)=-4(y+2)
21y+12=-4y+8
21y+4y=8-12
25y=-4
y=-4/25
