Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Man has saved : Re X

For the three sons he has given: 3 × 1/9 X = 1/3 X

For the daughters :--:3 × 1/8 X = 3/8 X

Wife gets :— X -- X (`1/3 + 3/8 ) = X --X ( 17/24 ) = X [ 1 — 17/24 ] = 7/24 X

7/24 X --1/8 X = Rs 11000

4/24 X = Rs 11000

X = 11000 x 24/ 4 = 66000

Man has saved : Rs 66,000
