Total Population (UP) :- 20.2 crores

To Find :-

Total population in India

\:

How to do :-

Here, we are given that the population in uttar pradesh is 20.2 crores which can be written in numerical form as 202000000. This is 15.5% compared to whole india. So, we should find the total population of india using the percentage of population in uttar pradesh and population in uttar pradesh. We should take the value of population in India as a variable x and then we can find the value of x.

\:

Solution :-

{\tt \leadsto 15.5 \bf\% \tt \: \: of \: \: (x) = 202000000}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{15.5}{100} \times (x) = 202000000}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{155}{1000} \times (x) = 202000000}

{\tt \leadsto \dfrac{155}{ \cancel{1000}} \times (x) = \cancel{202000000} = \dfrac{155}{1} \times (x) = 202000}

{\tt \leadsto (x) = \dfrac{202000 \times 1}{155}}

{\tt \leadsto (x) = \cancel \dfrac{202000}{155} = \boxed{\tt 1303.22 \approx}}

\Huge\therefore The total population of India is 1303.22.
