  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:- \frac{-8}{19} +\frac{-2}{57}.

              To find:- Value of the given expression.

              Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

        Therefore,

                   \begin{array}{l}\frac{-8}{19}+\frac{-2}{57} \\\\=\frac{-8 \times 3}{19 \times 3}+\frac{-2}{57} \\\\=\frac{-24}{57}+\frac{-2}{57} \\\\=\frac{-24+-2}{57} \\\\=-\frac{26}{57}\end{array}

       Hence we will get the value is \frac{-8}{19} +\frac{-2}{57}=\frac{-26}{57}.
