Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This was a trick that my placement training coach taught me.

Let the work be eating chocolates. Consider the number of chocolates to be a multiple of LCM of individual days given.

Find out how many chocolates each person eats in a day.

Find out how many chocolates are left.

Continue according to the given problem.

Let me explain this with the above example.

Let A and B have 180 chocolates each.

A takes 18 days to eat them. This means he eats 10 chocolates a day.

B takes 15 days to eat them. This means he eats 12 chocolates a day.

Now, we want them to eat 180 chocolates together.

If B ate for 10 days, he eats 10 * 12 = 120 chocolates.

Remaining chocolates are 180 - 120 = 60.

A takes 60 / 10 = 6 days to eat them.
