which has 2 decimal place

To Find correct to 1 decimal place

we need to check digit at  2nd decimal place

if number at 2nd decimal place is 5 or greater than 5

then number at 1st decimal place is increased by 1

and all places after that removed

if number at 2nd decimal place  is less than 5

then number at 1st decimal place remain same

and all decimal place removed after that

7 > 5

hence 2 is increased by 1

2 + 1 = 3

so 8.27 correct to 1 decimal place  is 8.3
