BONJOUR,

8 {}^{3}  - 4 {}^{3}  \\ a {}^{3}  - b {}^{3}  = (a - b)(a {}^{2}  + b {}^{2}  + ab) \\ then \\ 8 {}^{3}   - 4 {}^{3}  \\  = (8 - 4)(8 {}^{2}  + 8 \times 4 + 4 {}^{2} ) \\ 4(64 + 32 + 16) \\ 4 \times 112 \ \\  448 \\ hope \: it \: helps

Hi ,

******************************************
We know the algebraic identity :

a³ - b³ - 3ab( a - b ) = ( a - b )³

Or

a³ - b³ = ( a - b )³ + 3ab( a - b )
******************************************

Here ,

a = 8 , b = 4 ,

8³ - 4³

= ( 8 - 4 )³ + 3 × 8 × 4 ( 8 - 4 )

= 4³ + 3 × 8 × 4 × 4

= 64 + 384

= 448

I hope this helps you.
